About the Journal

Asian Journal of Medical Technology (AJMedTech) is set to be open access, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal. Due to a very limited number of quality technology journals in medicine, we decided to establish a new technology journal focusing on medicine.

Aims
This journal will consider publishing all articles related to emerging technology in medicine & healthcare, comprising but not limited to work in areas of medical image, signal and data processing, clinical application of new technology like artificial intelligence and other related health technology, promoting independent living, and any areas where the application of technology in medicine can be applied.

Publication Model and Frequency
AJMedTech is an open access medical journal which will be made available online in electronic format at its website and/or authorā€™s sites or other sites. The hardcopy will only be printed upon request. Articles will be published twice per year (May and November).

Digital Archive
The articles published in the AJMedTech will be assigned with digital object identifier for online publication by Crossref, a multilingual European Registration Agency for DOI.

Licensing
Articles published in AJMedTech will be licensed using CC BY-SA.

Copyright
The authors are required to submit a digital Transfer of Copyright Agreement when their article is accepted for publication. The form will be provided upon article's acceptance. All copyright ownership will be transferred, assigned or otherwise conveyed to AJMedTech.

Open Access Policy
Asian Journal of Medical Technology is an Open Access publication that completely complies with the The Effect of Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). It has adopted the BOAI policy of free availability on the public internet, permitting its users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of its articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purposes, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inherent to accessing the internet itself. The only restriction on reproduction and distribution, and the only role of copyright in this field, is to allow authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited. Peer-reviewed Model
Articles submitted to AJMedTech will be reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers before any decision for publication is made. It will be a single-blind review, in which the reviewers are anonymous to the authors but the authors' identities will be revealed to the reviewers. Refer to: Peer Review Statement

Plagiarism
AJMedTech will check the similarity index of articles submitted to the journal. All articles are expected to have <25% similarity index.

Copy-editing, Proofreading, Typesetting, and Referencing Style.
All articles published in AJMedTech journal must be written clearly in English. The articles published in AJMedTech must follow the writing style of British Medical Journal (http://www.bmj.com/about-bmj/resources-authors/house-style). All references cited in the text of articles must appear in the reference list. Citations and references in article submitted to AJMedTech must adhere to the format of Vancouver referencing style.

There will be 4 types of articles, be adjusted accordingly when necessary;

  • Letter to editor
  • Case series
  • Original articles
  • Review articles

Article Processing Charges (APC)
Currently, once the manuscript is accepted for publication, there will be no APC imposed on authors.
