Routine performance testing of ultrasound diagnostic equipment is essential to ensure consistent image quality, accurate measurements and safe clinical operation. However, standardized and practical guidelines for evaluating system performance using different transducer remain limited. This study proposes a guideline for performance test and evaluation of Canon Aplio Me ultrasound diagnostic equipment using PLU-805BT linear and PSU-30BT sector transducers in conjunction with the ATS539 multipurpose ultrasound phantom. The evaluation framework covers key imaging performance parameters including axial and lateral resolution, depth penetration, contrast resolution, target detectability and geometric accuracy. The results demonstrate performance characteristics associated with linear and sector transducers between the range of 3 MHz and 12 MHz reflecting their frequency ranges and imaging geometries. The calculated errors obtained from those measurements indicate between 1% and 6% bring the high reliability on the system accuracy across varies frequencies. This proposed manual guideline provides a reproducible approach for ultrasound equipment performance assessment and quality assurance that applicable for routine clinical testing, maintenance system, educational laboratory exercises, and research-based system evaluation as the way to support diagnostic reliability and standardized ultrasound quality control practices.
